A George III silver swing-handled oval cake, bread or fruit basket, monogrammed at the centre within an oval, the everted rim with thread edging, pierced and bright-cut with scrolling acanthus and foliate panels, the graduated swing handle with thread edging and on a pierced foot, 36.5cm long overall, 11cm high, 27.5cm high with handle in upright position, struck on the rim with makers mark R.H. for Robert Hennell, London 1789, 867gms 27.8oz.
