Description
A rare early 19th century gold and dark shell cameo relief portrait pendant depicting Christ, the profile portrait within a radiating circular vignette on a cushion-shaped shell panel 33mm long x 32mm wide, the reverse of the shell scratched possibly ‘Pozch F.A Berlin 1826, within a chased and pierced gold frame of scrolling acanthus, 52mm long x 44mm wide with suspension loop,12.9gms, contained in a tooled red and green leather case with silk lining, circa 1826.
