Diamond owl brooch with rubies and yellow diamonds by Jack Gutschneider circa 1955

A ruby, diamond and yellow diamond owl brooch with diamond-set head, yellow diamond eyes and ruby-set body. The owl perched on a branch with a breast claw-set with round rubies estimated to weigh a total of 4.0cts. The head pave-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.75cts. Each eye inset with a single round brilliant-cut treated yellow diamond, approximately 0.15cts. Dimensions are 54mm long x 33mm wide. The reverse stamped ‘18K’ and ‘JG JLRY’ for Jack Gutschneider Jewellery Co. 24.4gms gross weight.
