Sapphire diamond ring. A late 19th century gold, sapphire and diamond marquise-shaped cluster ring. With central cushion-shaped sapphire of beautiful intense bright blue, estimated to weigh 0.9cts. The sapphire pave-set within a surround of bright white scintillating round old brilliant-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of 1.0cts. The diamonds assessed as being generally G/H colour and VS clarity. The plain tapering shank with hallmarks for London 1892, also inscribed ‘3046 SB & S’. Ring size Q 1/2, 5.4gms.
