1950s Platinum solitaire diamond engagement ring

A 1950s platinum and solitaire diamond engagement ring. The circular brilliant-cut diamond approximately 7.8mm diameter x 4.7mm deep with medium girdle and estimated to weigh 1.80cts. Assessed by Jethro as possibly I colour, Si1 clarity, in a four-claw square setting between diamond-set shoulders. The stepped shoulders each with two graduated baguette-cut and one circular diamond. The shank stamped ‘PLAT’, ring size ‘N’, 4.2gms.
