Description

A 25.2ct natural yellow sapphire, un-heated ‘native-cut’ cushion-shaped sapphire of attractive yellow measuring 17.71mm long x 13.81mm wide x 9.88mm deep, currently mounted within a pierced frame as a brooch set with round old European brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.6cts, 38mm long overall, 9.3gms gross weight, circa 1920.

Together with a report from Gemmological Certification Services London UK number 5775 – 2006 dated 19/05/2015 stating that the gemmological characteristics of this stone are consistent with sapphires originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) with no indications of heating.
