A late 18th century gold and garnet marquise-shaped memorial brooch with sepia initials ‘SM’ on an ivory panel beneath a glazed cover and within a surround of small square garnets in foil-backed settings, the reverse with glazed hair compartment, 34mm long x 22mm wide.
