Art deco-style 3.2ct emerald diamond cluster ring. With central ’emerald-cut’ emerald weighing 3.22cts in a four-claw setting within a border of lozenge and baguette-cut diamonds and between baguette-cut diamond single-stone shoulders. The emerald measures 10.2mm long x 9.0mm wide and of good Columbian blue/green. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 1.5cts. Together with a certificate from Gemological Certification Services Laboratory stating that the emerald is ‘Natural Beryl’ of ‘Columbian Origin’ Provenance of the emerald: from Florence Apcar (1876-1961), thence by descent. Florence was a member of the Apcar trading and shipping family, originally of Armenian descent and settling in India during the early 19th century.
