Emerald diamond cluster ring NOT for sale

Emerald diamond cluster ring with central emerald-cut emerald 8mm x 6.5mm within a border of brilliant-cut diamonds. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.5cts. 11.0gms gross weight.

We regularly purchase poorly made jewellery such as this, but will never offer for sale to one of our clients – it’s just too awful. Many emeralds have their colour and clarity improved with oils and fillers, but this emerald has had excessive treatment. The setting is poorly constructed and does not hold the stones securely. However, the diamonds are good quality and there is 10gms of 18ct gold, so we purchased this ring at auction in order to break it up and re-use the diamonds.
