An antique gold fob seal with secret hinged compartment. The fob seal, 30mm high with chased foliate and acanthus scroll decoration. The rounded rectangular base 19mm x 17mm, inset with a plain cornelian. The upper section hinged opening to reveal a secret compartment. Circa 1870, 14.7gms gross weight.
